Upon arriving in Ch1na, we were greeted by a wonderful team of folks that will be our family for the next two years. We couldn't have asked for a team of people more loving...fun...and passionate about helping other people. We are definitely blessed.
Moving across the ocean is a big and stressful thing. (I'm sure you can imagine.) With that big move is the task of having to purchase all new furniture, all new appliances, all new EVERYTHING...with the exception of the bags of clothes that we brought with us. Its a daunting thing for sure.
Well, our new apartment wont be ready for us to move in to and furnish until mid / late August. So, in the mean time...we're staying in THE PINK PALACE!!!! We call it the Pink Palace for two different reasons:
1. Its huge! This apartment has four bedrooms, two baths, a spacious kitchen, a huge living and dining area, and a big nice laundry room. We couldn't have asked for nicer place to stay in for the first month and a half.
2. The owners must really love the color pink. Pink walls, pink furniture, pink curtains, pink flowers...pink pink pink. (Or at least "shades" of pinks, and purples and mauves).
I've attached a some pictures of the Pink Palace for your viewing pleasure. One is of our move in day and you can see all our luggage laying around, one is our table and kitchen view and the other is of our bedroom with a blue bedspread...but, notice the curtains.
As a good friend of ours would say: "Its not wrong. Its just different." And we're SO SO SO SO SO happy to be staying here.
(Ps. I think I kind of like pink. - Shelli)
