The need to "Re..."

Have you ever stopped and thought about ALL the words in the english language that start with "Re"?

Renew
Restart
Refresh
Retreat
Result
Redesign
Resolve
Rehabilitate
Rethink
Relax
...

Most all have to do with starting over or going back to "center". All of them kind of give one a sense of "ahhhhh" and peace.

We've been here in China for a year and a half now. We've lived in an intense situation for that entire time. Spiritually draining, physically draining, mentally draining, and emotionally draining. One doesn't realize just how intense it is, until you can't seem to sleep at night or relax.

Therefore, it is time for REtreat, REfreshment and RElaxation. (and I'm so glad that our organization literally requires that we take a vacation every year, because WE NEED IT!)

So...we're going to Thailand in January. (insert cd of the "Hallelujah chorus" now!)

The extremely great thing about going to Thailand is ITS DIRT CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!! Flights are cheap from China and we can get a sweet little bungalow on the beach for about $15 a night. HELLO! And, who doesn't like Thai food, I mean...come on!! Especially when its about $1 for a full plate of yummy gang gah ree or pad thai. Also, Thailand offers really good and cheap health care as well as retreat conferences for people in our type of work.

Please pray with us that all the right ducks get in a row to make this trip happen. We want and need this. We are looking forward to just RElaxing, REnewing, REtreating, REfreshing and just enjoying the Lord in his creation and enjoying time with each other.

ahhhhhhhh.

Wish I could come too! But, on the other hand, I'll be in Mexico on my honeymoon in January, so I won't care too much that I'm missing out on the January mass escape to Thailand.
