How can YOU help??

On our previous post, we wrote that we would have a way for you to give financially to help.

Here is the solution:

Here are the details:

There is an organization out here in Ch!na doing FANTASTIC work among the T.ibetan plateau called Plateau Perspectives . "P.P." is a non-profit team of scientist and some medically trained people working for the well being of T.ibetan people through education, scientific research and aid.

P.P. is (as of today) the ONLY non-profit organization that has been personally asked by the government to lend aid. There is a group that is heading out today from P.P. to start the initial work.

The expat community of believers here in Q.inghai province supports their work and have partnered with them in the efforts to help Y.ushu. However, as of today, we've learned that the Government is not allowing people on student Visas (which makes up a LARGE chunk of the expat community) into the devastated region. Many doctors, nurses and medically trained individuals are here on student visas. Please pr@y that this restriction will be lifted TODAY so that trained medical staff can get in to help. Also, so that the rest of us who do not have medical training can get in to do hands on labor and work.

Last night, our good friend Brian created a website for P.P. to give daily updates on the earthquake. Will you take a moment and go to the link over on the left side that says "Y.ushu Earthquake Relief"?

We'll keep you posted...
