...the last 24 hours...

...have been crazy.

8am Thursday morning: Funds start coming in from all over the world and teams are setting out among the community to gather up bulk medical supplies and food.

11am: The first convoy of non-government workers start forming and gathering up their gear and were set to head out along with some medical personal to do an initial assessment of the ground, meet with officials and do first response type medical aid.

2pm We got the word that some counselors in town were going to train some of us on basic grief and trauma counseling for those that are coming in from the plateau. Shelli went as a representative of our HGM team.

3pm Shelli was in the training for a couple of hours, Justin was called to do some manual labor loading up trucks. We also got word that a second convoy was forming and would head out first thing Friday morning.

4pm First convoy finally able to leave.

5pm We are both asked to go to a grocery store and start buying food supplies for the second convoy.

7pm We are kicked out of the grocery store. Ha ha ha ha. We're still not exactly sure why (we think it was inventory night), but we WERE able to buy all our stuff at least. Ha ha ha.

8pm Head to our team leaders house and help him load up his vehicle and prep for him to leave. He was assigned as the second convoy's driver.

9pm Justin begins work on the video that is currently on the website: www.yushuearthquakerelief.com Footage taken by a friend that was on site when the quake happened.

4am Friday morning: First convoy arrives at Yushu.

5am: Justin and Brian finish website update with photos and video and go to bed.

8am: Send our team leader off in second convoy and Shelli called in to help with child care, Justin called in to the orphanage to deal with an issue that happened there yesterday.

11am: Sit down to right this.

....so, there's that.
